this test I had yesterday was actually a summative progress test but I was still very nervous about it. buuuuuut I got the highest marks in my class :D I had 41/50 correct. *does a little dance* one subject less I have to worry about then.
No matter the fact that I have a presentation and an essay first draft due tomorrow..

6 days 'till my birthday!!!

HAHA I only bought my tickets to Rock Werchter like 1.5 or 2 weeks ago (but they were on sale since like.. early feb!) and today I read that they're sold out. SO lucky I got there on time! :D I cannot waaaait till July!!
I'm confident I made the right choice in picking Werchter over pinkpop. cos (apart from Keano) the pinkpop line-up is just so much weaker. and they keep on releasing new names but it's not getting any better. ha!

So I went to see Maximo Park on friday and I had a lot of fun!!
The support act was CRAP. Some dutch band called HSLHF or whatever. These guys looked like they went to rock academy and learned "how to be a rockstar" they did all the right things but somehow it looked and sounded awful. Tried too hard.

Then MP was on, and they unfortunately played a lot of songs of the new record (unreleased) so I didn't know any of them yet. That was a bit of a bummer, but I still thought it was really good. AND PLAY PLAYED APPLY SOME PRESSURE!!!! <3
We chose to go to the balcony. we had a really good view and lots and lots of personal space too. I was so happy that we weren't in the crowd because DUDE they were rough. Moshing, pushing, crowdsurfing. It looked like lots of fun from upstairs but I'm sure I wouldn't have survived, haha. All in all I had a good time :-)

Already looking forward to seeing Adele on the 17th too. I'm sure I can safely go in the crowd there :P

(omg I have a summative test on phonetics and grammar tomorrow and I'm terrified. not that I actually took today to prepare for it.. browsing the web for cute necklaces aparently is more important. *giggle*)

Today is such a boring day. My mom is in the crappiest of crappy moods, which in turn makes ME moody. and it sure as hell ain't going to be fun when my dad gets home. *sigh*

 

BUT!!!!!!!
tomorrow after placement I'm heading straight to Amsterdam to pick up my two friends/classmates and hop on the train to Utrecht with them to see maximo park!!! :D yay im excited!

And I'm finally all set and prepared for placement tomorrow! ha. I hope my speaking lesson will go as planned!

 

11 days till im 21. oooooooooooooooold :P

Today was quite a boring day.. I woke up too early (7.54) and decided I really did not feel like going to literature..so I didn't. Instead I slept two more hours :P
My friend called and asked me where I was because apparently there was no one else there, but later I heard about 7 showed up :/ (FYI I only have a class of 14 people, but still, thats half missing!)
I ended up taking the train to school at 1 o'clock, wouldn't want to miss Max' class because he's quite keen to keep attendance records..plus I feel like it's basically the only class I sorta learn something nowadays.

Motivation for school is seriously lacking lately.. I guess I really miss being in the UK, living on campus having fellow students and the library nearby (but still actually not doing much studying!) The freedom was amazing. It's not that I don't have any freedom here, my parents know I don't do stupid things so they basically give me all the freedom in the world. (no curfews, go and do whatever I want) It's still different though.
I can't wait till I get a place of my own, but since I have to go to the UK again in jan 2010 it doesn't make any sense for me to go and get a room somewhere now. I'm just going to have to stay here for the time being.

Speeking of rooms.. my friend steffi inspired me to post some pictures of my room.

I've been thinking of starting a blog for a while now. Why? Cause everyone else seems to have one. I admit I am quite a nosy person so I am always interested in other people. I hope someone will be interested in my ramblings.
